Bestowal Dialogue

'You should caution Khaltâg about the necklace. I know it is hard for him to see properly through eyes stained with grief, but holding on to the memory of my mother is causing him more pain than letting her go.

'I do not want to sap his joy, but I do not see any good that can come from hanging on to that cursed past. He should return the necklace to where it was found. Some things are better left lost.'

Background

Pharida, Khaltâg's daughter, has asked you to relay her concerns about the necklace to her father. Khaltâg is in Mekab-kuphâr, in Khabârkhad.

Objective 1

  • Return to Khaltâg in Mekab-kuphâr and relay Pharida's message

Return to Khaltâg in Mekab-kuphâr and relay Pharida's message.

Khaltâg has disappeared from where you last spoke

Objective 2

  • Ask Muntâkh if he knows where Khaltâg went

Ask Muntâkh, the merchant, if he knows where Khaltâg went.

Muntâkh: 'Aye, I saw your man Khaltâg. He was causing quite an uproar a little while ago. Wouldn't stop shouting - Nûru tried to calm him, but he wasn't having it. Kept saying his wife was calling him home. I don't know what that means.
'He ran off to the west. Said something about finding her.
'She's dead? Khmêg. That is ill news, indeed. There are many buried in Sektakhâb, to the west. It's likely he fled there, if he intends to be with her.'

Objective 3

Investigate Sektakhâb for signs of Khaltâg.

Save Khaltâg from being torn apart by crypt-walkers!

Objective 4

  • Ask Khaltâg why he came to Sektakhâb

Ask Khaltâg why he came to Sektakhâb.

Khaltâg: 'I can't stop hearing them! The voices, my wife, she beckons me to join her!'
